Friends of Sulgrave Manor

Home of Washington’s Ancestors

Celebrate the storied connection between England and the United States
at the historic Tudor home where the first President’s ancestors lived.

The Friends of Sulgrave Manor is a group of American women dedicated to furthering the storied connection between the United Kingdom and the United States of America as exemplified by their guardianship of George Washington’s ancestral home, where his forefathers lived for decades. The Friends of Sulgrave Manor support the maintenance of this English manor home and it’s gardens, its educational programs that outline the history and the ties between the US and Britain, the history of the Washington family’s immigration to the United States, and the fundraising initiatives that underwrite the continued success and growth of this important mission.
